What’s the difference? Why does it matter?
A venue coordinator is an essential part of your wedding day, but their role is very different from booking your own planner or coordinator.
Venue Coordinator:
- Works for the venue
- Focuses on staffing, timings, access and operations
- Manages catering, bar and venue staff
- Resolves issues that affect the venue
- May be managing multiple events or responsibilities
Your Wedding Coordinator (Me):
- Works entirely for you, advocating your vision, preferences and budget
- Learns every detail of your day - from morning prep to bedtime
- Manages all suppliers: florist, hair & makeup, band, registrars, transport, cake, styling and more
- Handles everything: missing items, late suppliers, weather plans, nervous bridal party, seating changes, forgotten vows
- Looks after the people - cueing entrances, organising confetti shots, lining up speeches, helping with dresses
- Manages gifts, cards, décor pack-down and personal items at the end of the night (12 hours included, extra hours available upon request)
- Dedicated to your wedding for the full agreed duration
In short: The venue looks after the building. I look after you.
